Terms and Conditions for Sabbath Study

Effective Date: 28 July 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your download, access, purchase, and use of the Sabbath Study mobile application.

Sabbath Study is provided by Corner Apps  (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By downloading, accessing, or using Sabbath Study, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. About Sabbath Study

Sabbath Study provides Bible study, Sabbath School lesson content, reading tools, study reminders, bookmarks, progress tracking, and related educational or devotional features.

Some features may be available free of charge and supported by advertising. Other features may require a premium subscription.

Features may vary depending on the app version, device, country, subscription status, and content availability.

2. Educational and Religious Information

Sabbath Study is provided for personal educational, devotional, and informational purposes.

The app is not intended to replace:

• Official publications

• Professional theological advice

• Pastoral counselling

• Medical advice

• Legal advice

• Financial advice

• Emergency services

Users are responsible for independently confirming lesson dates, Bible references, quotations, interpretations, and official denominational materials where accuracy is important.

Unless expressly stated, Sabbath Study is not officially sponsored, endorsed, administered, or operated by the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists or any other religious organisation.

Any names, marks, lesson titles, or references belonging to third parties remain the property of their respective owners.

3. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms.

A child or minor should use the app only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

A parent or guardian who allows a minor to use Sabbath Study accepts responsibility for that minor’s use of the app.

4. Licence to Use the App

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Sabbath Study on Apple devices that you own or control, subject to these Terms and Apple’s applicable usage rules.

This licence is for personal and non-commercial use only.

You may not:

• Copy or redistribute the app unlawfully

• Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app

• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code, except where permitted by law

• Circumvent subscription, advertising, or security systems

• Modify the app to gain unauthorised access

• Use automated systems to interfere with the app

• Use the app for illegal, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purposes

• Remove copyright, trademark, or ownership notices

5. Free Advertising-Supported Access

The free version of Sabbath Study may display advertisements, including:

• Banner advertisements

• Native advertisements

• Interstitial advertisements

• App Open advertisements

Advertisements may appear when the app launches, returns to the foreground, opens certain features, or after selected user interactions.

The frequency, format, content, and availability of advertisements may change.

We do not personally select every advertisement displayed. Advertisements are delivered by third-party advertising providers, including Google AdMob.

Your interaction with an advertisement is between you and the advertiser. We are not responsible for third-party products, services, websites, claims, availability, or transactions.

6. Continue With Ads

When a premium screen is displayed, you may be offered a Continue with Ads option.

Selecting Continue with Ads means:

• You are choosing the free advertising-supported version

• An interstitial advertisement may appear immediately

• The requested feature may open after the advertisement closes

• You do not receive premium status

• Advertisements may continue appearing during later use

• No subscription payment is created by selecting this option

You must not intentionally manipulate, repeatedly click, or fraudulently interact with advertisements.

7. Premium Subscriptions

Sabbath Study may offer weekly, monthly, and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions.

The exact subscription price, billing period, currency, trial period, and available benefits are shown on the purchase screen before payment.

Premium benefits may include:

• Removal of advertisements

• Access to premium study features

• Access to additional content

• Other benefits displayed on the subscription screen

Available features may be changed or improved over time, provided that changes comply with applicable law and App Store requirements.

8. Subscription Billing and Renewal

Payment is charged to your Apple Account after you confirm the purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period, subject to Apple’s applicable rules.

Your Apple Account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Renewal is charged at the price presented by Apple unless the price has been changed in accordance with Apple’s policies and applicable law.

Deleting Sabbath Study does not automatically cancel your subscription.

9. Managing or Cancelling a Subscription

You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple Account subscription settings.

A typical path is:

Device Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions → Sabbath Study

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid subscription period unless Apple states otherwise.

We cannot directly cancel a subscription on your behalf because billing and subscription management are controlled by Apple.

10. Free Trials and Promotional Offers

Sabbath Study may offer free trials, introductory prices, promotional offers, or discounted subscriptions.

Eligibility is determined by Apple and may depend on your previous subscription history.

Unless cancelled before the trial or promotional period ends, the subscription may automatically convert into a paid subscription at the displayed price.

Any unused portion of a free trial may be forfeited when a subscription is purchased, where permitted by Apple.

11. Restoring Purchases

You may use the Restore Purchases option to restore an eligible subscription associated with your Apple Account.

Restoration requires the same Apple Account used for the original purchase.

Restoring purchases does not create a second payment.

We do not guarantee restoration where Apple cannot verify the transaction, the subscription has expired, the purchase was refunded, or the user is signed into a different Apple Account.

12. Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple.

Refund requests must normally be submitted to Apple and are governed by Apple’s refund policies and applicable consumer law.

We cannot guarantee that Apple will approve a refund.

13. Content Availability and Updates

We may add, update, correct, reorganise, replace, or remove app content and features.

Study content, lesson schedules, dates, translations, links, and external materials may occasionally contain errors, omissions, delays, or outdated information.

Although we aim to provide useful and accurate content, we do not guarantee that all content will always be complete, official, current, or error-free.

Internet access may be required for advertisements, purchases, content updates, external links, or selected features.

14. Notifications and Reminders

The app may offer study reminders or notifications.

Notifications are provided for convenience only. We do not guarantee that every notification will be delivered at the intended time.

Notification delivery may be affected by device settings, battery-saving settings, operating system restrictions, internet availability, time zones, or user permissions.

You remain responsible for your own schedules and obligations.

15. Intellectual Property

The Sabbath Study application, including its original software, interface, design, graphics, branding, organisation, and original content, is owned by or licensed to [Developer/Company Name].

Bible translations, Sabbath School materials, denominational names, trademarks, photographs, illustrations, and other third-party materials remain owned by their respective copyright or trademark holders.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership rights to you.

Content may not be copied, republished, sold, or distributed except where authorised by the rights holder or permitted by law.

16. Third-Party Services and Links

Sabbath Study may include third-party services, advertisements, websites, or links.

Third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for:

• Third-party content

• External websites

• Advertised products or services

• Payment processing by Apple

• Advertising services provided by Google

• Third-party availability or security

• Statements made by advertisers

Opening or using a third-party service is at your own risk.

17. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app unlawfully

• Attempt to disrupt or damage the app

• Introduce malware or harmful code

• Access restricted systems without authorisation

• Manipulate advertising impressions or clicks

• Avoid or bypass subscription controls

• Misrepresent your identity or purchase status

• Use the app to infringe intellectual property rights

• Harass, threaten, exploit, or harm another person

• Use app content for unauthorised commercial purposes

We may restrict access where misuse, fraud, abuse, or a security risk is detected.

18. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sabbath Study is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that:

• The app will always be available

• The app will be uninterrupted or error-free

• Every device will be supported

• Every lesson or date will always be accurate

• Advertisements will always load

• Notifications will always arrive

• All premium features will remain unchanged

• Data stored locally will never be lost

• Third-party links or services will remain available

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, [Developer/Company Name] will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from your use of or inability to use Sabbath Study.

This includes loss caused by:

• Lost reading progress

• Missed reminders

• Incorrect lesson information

• Device failure

• Internet interruption

• Third-party advertisements

• External websites

• Subscription interruptions

• Unauthorised access to your device

• Reliance on educational or devotional content

Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for Sabbath Study during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

20. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses or claims arising from:

• Your unlawful use of the app

• Your violation of these Terms

• Your infringement of another person’s rights

• Fraudulent advertising activity

• Attempts to bypass payment or security systems

This provision does not apply where prohibited by applicable consumer law.

21. Suspension or Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to Sabbath Study where reasonably necessary because of:

• Violation of these Terms

• Fraud or abuse

• Security threats

• Legal requirements

• Discontinuation of the app

• Technical or operational reasons

Termination of app access does not automatically cancel an active Apple subscription. You must separately manage subscriptions through Apple.

22. Changes to the App or These Terms

We may update Sabbath Study and these Terms to reflect:

• New features

• Advertising changes

• Subscription changes

• Legal requirements

• Security improvements

• Service provider changes

• Technical updates

Updated Terms will show a revised effective date.

Continued use of the app after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms, except where additional consent is legally required.

23. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, without excluding mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.

Any dispute should first be raised with us using the contact information below so that the parties can attempt to resolve it informally.

Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from exercising rights available under applicable local law.

24. Apple-Specific Terms

These Terms are between you and [Developer/Company Name], not Apple.

Apple is not responsible for Sabbath Study or its content.

Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the app.

Where the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price paid for the app, if any, subject to Apple’s policies and applicable law.

Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal compliance, consumer protection, or intellectual property claims.

Apple and its subsidiaries are intended third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the Apple-related provisions against you.

Your use of Sabbath Study must comply with the App Store rules and any applicable third-party agreements.

25. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

The invalid provision will be interpreted or replaced to reflect its original purpose as closely as legally permitted.

26. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and information displayed on the subscription purchase screen, form the entire agreement governing your use of Sabbath Study.
